IGUS : EPP working group

Explosives, Propellants and Pyrotechnics (EPP)

• History. Formed in 1994 upon a merger of the 'Fertilisers and Commercial Explosives' (FCE) and 'Sensitivity & Propagation' (S&P) working groups.
• Remit. Explosive properties, general test methods and thermodynamic ratings, phenomenology of explosions, safety and regulatory aspects related to explosives, pyrotechnics and propellants.
• Officers. Chairman: Ed de Jong (TNO, The Netherlands); co-chairman: Shulin Nie (MSB, Sweden).

Current ad-hoc working group

• Classification of ammonium nitrate based emulsions. Not active..
